Drive (2011)

Title: Drive (2011)
Starring: Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac
Director: Nicolas Winding Refn

"I don't carry a gun... I drive."

I'm lucky enough to have downloaded Drive as early as this week while it's still being shown in theaters abroad (Thanks, Piratebay lol).

Like the novel, the film is about an unnamed Hollywood stunt driver (Gosling) who moonlights as a getaway driver. After he becomes attracted to a female neighbor (Mulligan) whose husband (Isaac) owes money to local gangsters, he is drawn deeper into a dangerous underworld. (via Wikipedia)

Ryan Gosling's performance was beyond my expectation ('cept that I already heard a lot of good reviews). Even though he didn't have lines on the first, say, 20 minutes of the film, and just gave you poker face, Gosling, surely, will get you carried away. He's definitely one of the most-anticipated leading men in modern cinema. From the overrated The Notebook to Blue Valentine, and now, this.

You want action? This will give you an intense one on the very first scene. From there, you'll have a hard time breathing. Halfway through, you'll find yourself not blinking anymore ('cause you don't wanna miss a scene) and craving for water.

Simply put, Ryan Gosling owned it.
