The pain still kills us all.

Just so you know, my great aunt, Mommy La (from this entry), passed away last October 20th, around 1 PM. I was at work when my cousin SMS-ed me.
Cholo: Alam mo na ba ang balita?
Me: Fuck. Ano?
Cholo: Pina-process na ni San Pedro papers ni Mamila.
It didn't occur to me that she's already gone that time. I just thought that she's having a hard time, as always, breathing or eating or suffering from her illness... But she's not. When I got off from work and headed to her place, the gates were fully opened and the place was so bright. Everybody was there.
Mom: Anak, wala na si Mommy. (cries)
That was when I burst into tears... unstoppable. Last time I saw Mommy La was Sunday night. I didn't have the chance to talk to her or hug her for the very last time. Her illness took her away in an instant. She's gone now. And I hate it. I hate that she's still young to die. I hate that we had financial problems and didn't manage to fully accommodate her. I hate that she spoiled us all and we're too attached. I hate that she had to be the one to be taken away.

But as they say, look at the brighter side. Her pain will vanish. She will no longer suffer. And she'd be happily resting in His place. I know she wants us to be happy and to not cry for her. She's one strong woman. My second mom. My favorite person.

L-R: Joyce, Mom, Dad, Mommy La, and I

You'll always be remembered, Mommy La. Mahal na mahal kita. Sobra! :-( Look after us, okay? I wish I could hug you right now. *sob*

Drive (2011)

Title: Drive (2011)
Starring: Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac
Director: Nicolas Winding Refn

"I don't carry a gun... I drive."

I'm lucky enough to have downloaded Drive as early as this week while it's still being shown in theaters abroad (Thanks, Piratebay lol).

Like the novel, the film is about an unnamed Hollywood stunt driver (Gosling) who moonlights as a getaway driver. After he becomes attracted to a female neighbor (Mulligan) whose husband (Isaac) owes money to local gangsters, he is drawn deeper into a dangerous underworld. (via Wikipedia)

“Life is a challenge, meet it.” —Mother Teresa

My great-aunt, Mommy La, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer stage 3D two weeks ago. When she told me and my sister about it, we just couldn't help but cry. She's one of my favorite persons. And I hate knowing that she's sick. She's just in her early 50s. :-( Her chemo will start next week, I guess. And I don't think I can take seeing her losing her hair. I know she will get pass through this. She's one strong woman.

I love you, Mommy! You're going to be in my prayers, always.

To dye my hair for the first time in my entire life.

Few days ago, before I cut my hair shorter, I was already thinking of dying my hair. The thought of coloring it thrills me. I've never dyed my hair before so I find it something-to-experiment-type exciting. When I was at the salon, I couldn't decide which color to pick. Since I'm not blessed with fair skin tone, I had to be extra-careful on choosing the right shade. The owner of the salon (also the one who dyed my hair) suggested her hair color. She has bright skin tone and it perfectly matches her hair. She told me that the color would also look good on me even though I'm not that fair. She seemed so sure and convincing so why not take the risk.

Well, I love the outcome! It somehow brightens up my face.

I'm thinking of getting some highlights next time? :p

HP and The Deathly Hollows P2 (2011)

While watching the finale, I realized I was in tears for some reasons. Little did I know, my sister sitting beside me was already bawling her eyes out. Yes, finally, Harry kicked Voldemort's ass (though he's still tweeting, haha) and that's some kind of a relief. No more chasing & no more killing people. But, it also meant that there'll be no more Harry Potter for us, unless of course if J.K. Rowling decides to write a continuation. As for now, the biggest part of our growing-up has just come to an end. No more Harry-Hermione-Ron adventures.

Well, as Lily Potter says in the movie, I quote, Always. Until the end. End quote. Harry Potter, forever in our hearts, shall never be forgotten. The magic lives on.

TVD S2 Breather

I finished The Vampire Diaries' (TVD) two seasons in 4 nights, I think. And now, I can't wait until the next season comes out. This definitely beats the gay out of Twilight. Edward is sparkling in the sun, while the hot Salvatore brothers don't; Edward doesn't have a bed and couldn't even make love with Bella, when in fact, it is possible as long as you have self-control. How much more gayer Twilight could ever get?

Though one thing in common, we can't deny that these vamps have amusing nice wheels. Couldn't argue with that.

M5 Madness

The only decent picture of me with Joyce from last night (from my sucky camera phone). We weren’t allowed to bring the DSLR inside. I even tried to sneak it in, got caught, and even made lame excuses, lol. I still failed anyway. It was just so stupid of us to forget the digicam. Boohoo!

Never mind that disturbing head in front of us. Anyway, this was taken from our seats. We’re like really near, we could still see the entire stage. If only we arrived there a little bit earlier then we would be seating in the first row of Gold - B section. If only.

The show started around 8:30 PM already (and ended 10:30, I guess). They didn’t have a front act. According to Joyce, they just appeared right on the stage! And I didn’t see it! I was outside buying food. When I heard the loud cheers and screams, I rushed back inside. I couldn’t even find my seat because the lights were already turned off and people were standing from their seats. It was a challenge to find mine, but I eventually found my way back lol.

They sang 17 songs, if I’m not mistaken. I made a list of it respectively. But there’s one unfamiliar song which I haven’t figured out until now.

1. Misery
2. If I Never See Your Face Again
3. Harder to Breathe
4. Give a Little More
5. The Sun
6. Won’t Go Home Without You
7. Never Gonna Leave This Bed
8. If I Ain’t Got You
9. She Will Be Loved
10. Wake Up Call
11. That one unfamiliar song
12. Stutter
13. This Love
14. Sweetest Goodbye
15. Hands All Over
16. Makes Me Wonder
17. Sunday Morning

I was so psyched they played all my favorites! Funny and genius thing was, I even brought my iPod with me so I could sing along with everyone! I mean, I know some of the lyrics (except for She Will Be Loved which I know every word to), but I don’t know the entire lines. I was like having karaoke at the same time.

Last night was perfect minus the camera. :-( Still, the experience matters most.

Adam Levine, marry me?

HIMYM S6 Finale

HIMYM S6 FINALE SPOILER ALERT.

Just saw How I Met Your Mother season 6 finale. It was so hanging. Well, the ending sort of told us that Barney was the groom and is getting married. But, we can't be sure that he really is the groom. Maybe he's just one of the best men, who knows.

When you forgive, you let go.

Ever wished for two people to break up? I did. Since forever. Since the first day they got together. Maybe I've been the antagonist to their little fairy tale. Maybe I've been bad. But every evil side of me has slowly subsided over time. I've learned to let go, accept things, and move on. Because that's what life is. You can't stay stuck in a place you're not part of. You have to get out. And find your own spot. And that's what I'm gonna do. (wink)

Hello Stranger (2010)

Title: Hello Stranger (Kuan Meun Ho)
Starring: Chantawich Tanasewi and Nuengtida Sopon
Director: Banjong Pisanthanakun

I was browsing the internet hoping to find a romantic comedy Thai film. (A Crazy Little Thing Called Love was the very first Thai film I've seen, it made a good impression on me.) I'm glad I found this movie. I've read a lot of good feedback so I decided to download leech it.

It was released last August 2010. The movie was set in South Korea where two strangers crossed paths. The characters' names weren't really mentioned. They just went by with made-up nicknames (Daang and May). The film featured top Korean TV dramas namely Dae Jang Geum and Winter Sonata.

Anawangin Cove, San Antonio, Zambales

Visited Anawangin Cove in Zambales last April 16 - 17 with my college buds, my sister with her best friend, my cousin and his friends. We rode a bangka to get to the island. It was a first time for me and also my favorite part. Anawangin Cove was just beautiful and not too crowded. Though the sand was rocky enough to bruise my feet, it was worth it.

Let's help.

Earth Hour 2011 last 26th of March.

Yes! I have my laptop and router turned on. :-D It's another Earth Hour success, indeed. Cheers to that. I hope more people will participate for the next Earth Hour and the years to come. Turning off the lights for 60 minutes would mean a lot to Mother Earth. Besides, it wouldn't hurt to pause everything for a while and cooperate in this meaningful project. :-)

Fireworks

One of the most-anticipated events of every student has already happened. It was relieving. After all the sacrifices, hard work does really pay off. My parents couldn't be any more proud. And me, who made this far, will be forever gratified. :-)

I've been saying this a lot recently, and I will say it again — Thank you! To my parents who supported me all throughout my student life, let me return all the favor when I get a job (soon!). To my friends, Team XV, who never let me down, I will always keep you, guys. To my professors and instructors, thank you for all the learning. I may have been brat to some of you, but I am really thankful. To my Alma Mater, you'll always be in my heart. I promise to carry your name chasing my greatest goals. Last, but definitely not the least, my deepest gratitude to the Lord, our God, who provided me with everything and never fails me.

Just like the fireworks, life is beautiful.

Sonny With A Chance

I just finished my Sonny With A Chance marathon this very moment and I already miss the show! Sonny and Chad, especially. They're so adooooooorable together! :3 This video, by the way, was from the season finale, New Girl, and I'm hoping it wouldn't be the last, now that Demi's back from rehab. I'm so happy for her. :-)

Demi Lovato, a.k.a Sonny Munroe, performing "What To Do" :-) Oh, I just love this song!

The Little Rascals (1994)

Title: The Little Rascals (1994)
Starring:  Bug Hall, Travis Tedford, Brittany Ashton Holmes, Kevin Jamal Woods, Zachary Mabry
Directed by: Penelope Spheeris

One of the leads, Alfalfa, played by Bug Hall  (American Pie Presents: Book of Love), was the awkward one. He will do anything for Darla, her love interest, and will risk anything to save his friendship with Spanky, the president of their so-called “He-Man Woman Haters Club”. They have set club rules and even owned a clubhouse, not until Alfalfa and Darla sort of ruined it. Now, Alfalfa has to make up for what he did and definitely has lots of explaining to do.

When you dream, go after it.

We just had our graduation pictorial today. I felt so pretty. Slowly, I can see all the hard work paying off. Graduation in a month and couple of weeks time. Who's excited?

Btw, this is one of the raw photos. Un-edited. I won't mind you noticing my huge toga. My eyebrows are just perf! *wink* Anyway, see you on the 25th of March! (plays graduation march song)

The worst ride of my life as far as I can remember.

When heading off to my OJT, I always ride LRT Line 1 and Line 2. Recently, I've experienced the worst ride in Line 1.

LRTA Line 1

I woke up late the last time (around 6 in the morning already, I should be on the way by then). I was rushing not to be that tardy on my time-in (I failed, anyway). I arrived at 7: 30 AM in LRT Line 1 and still hoped for a not-so-crowded train (which is, by the way, didn't or never will happen, especially at that time). I've waited for exactly an hour until I managed to get in, not by stepping in though, but by being pushed. I was really haggard-looking, sweaty, and coughing so bad which made me irritated already. When we arrived to the next station, people from my back were pushing me so hard, enough for me to get off the train and stumble like an idiot. I was like, "WHAT THE FUCK!?" Instead of indulging a fight, I just breathed, stepped back into the train, and pretended like nothing had happened. Oh, and I almost lost my earring. I managed to save it though.

Makes me feel like a total shit. No wonder, LRT Line 1 people are all aggressive and annoying all at the same time. The government should add at least 10 more trains then. It kills us all just to be on time.
