TWD S6 Finale

TWD S6 FINALE SPOILER ALERT.

This is such a "late post" for a spoiler alert since the finale already aired almost a week ago, and I bet y'all die-hard fans have already seen it. But, anyway, if you still haven't, don't read any further.

L-R: Glenn, Rosita, Daryl, Michonne, Abraham, Maggie, Rick, Sasha, Aaron, Carl, Eugene

Okay, let's get down to business. Who got Lucille-d by Negan from the cliffhanger finale? I've been reading reviews and fan theories for the last hour. Major theory was, the victim could either be Glenn, Rosita, Michonne, or Daryl since the first few POVs were coming from inside the van (where the four of them were held captive). Anyway, one theory though, from this article, suggests that Glenn could be THE victim. Also, it's in the comics. Even though their theories make all sense —the one that gives me the creeps was the shot of Glenn staring right at the bat. He was the only one staring directly at the bat— please let it not be Glenn, not again.

As for my sister and I, we conclude that the victim could be one from Rick's left side —Sasha, Aaron, Carl, Eugene— simply because, before Negan pointed Lucille to the victim, the last shot was of Rick, and if you notice, Negan's shadow goes to Rick's left. Upon pointing Lucille to the unlucky one, Negan ordered, "Anybody moves, anybody says anything, cut the boy's eye out and feed it to his father.." that kinda ruled Carl (and Rick) out. Which brings us down to three: Sasha, Aaron, and Eugene.

But.

The victim could also be Abraham. When Negan axed his victim the first time, we heard him, "Ho! Ho! Look at that. Taking it like a champ!" It somehow suggests that the victim could be strong enough to be able to look up and handle the pain. And for that strength, the victim might just be Abraham, most probably. And he was sort of "showing off" or volunteering when Negan was just picking who to hit. It's kind of foreshadowing, don't you think?

I screen-captured these last two POVs and it bothers me. The background changes —notice the RV from the first photo that disappears on the second one, and a man was already visible— and I'm kind of thinking that there could be two or more POVs present during that time. We won't know for sure.

How about you? What do you think of the theories and the season finale?
