Ria's 2nd birthday party

Party never ends... for mommies! It doesn't feel like a year has already passed since Ria's first birthday party. I remember when I couldn't calm down because I had to check every single detail of her party even if Stacy's asked me not to worry anymore. I DIY-ed the things I wasn't supposed to, just because I felt like I have to. Can you feel me, mommies? We couldn't calm down, could we?

Two weeks ago, March 18th, we celebrated Ria's 2nd birthday. This time, I managed to chill a little bit. I decided not to DIY most things except for game prizes. (I just bought these cute candies and wrapped them into a nice paper.) I'm glad the event was a success, thanks to all my reliable suppliers!

Venue: Kenny Rogers Roasters Katipunan

Kenny Rogers wasn't my first choice but I still ended up with it anyway because of certain considerations. The package I chose include: 1pc chicken, 1/4 rib, rice, mac and cheese, chocolate mousse, and a glass of Blue Lemonade. It's P350/pax. Not bad, really. The problem I had was during the event itself. They served us the wrong meal. Instead of chicken and rib, they served us a quarter chicken with 2 side dishes: both mac and cheese. Who in the right mind would serve two same side dishes? It was so boring. If only my guests weren't hungry, they'd get bored. Their manager, however, admitted her fault and gave me discount with the corkage fees. Still, I was disappointed. SMH

Candy buffet and table centerpiece: Event Management by CLS

CLS has been providing my candy buffet ever since Ria's Christening. They never fail to wow me and my guests. From the buffet's themed setup to its yummy themed candies, it has always been my guests' favorite part of the event as I always get good feedback from them. Theme's Frozen, by the way. Thank you, CLS! ♥

Cake and cupcakes: Little Bites Cupcakery

If you're a red velvet crinkles lover, the ones you find in SM malls, then you're familiar with Little Bites Cupcakery. I've been a fan ever since I've tried their best-seller crinkles way way back. It's not until Ria's first birthday when I hired them to provide my daughter's party treats —tropical garden themed sugar cookies. This time, they provided the cupcakes and the birthday cake. Ms. Cham (behind Little Bites) is very accommodating and she even suggested what she thinks would improve the design I had in mind. She didn't even charge me for her ideas! Haha! Thank you, Ms. Cham.

Host and Entertainment: Wel Bravo

This is my first time to hire a magician/host. It's not really bad! I had someone to host the event and at the same time, someone who provided entertainment. Sir Wel did a really good job. He's a pro. I just told him the games I prepared and he executed it very nicely. He did a magic show with dove act and mini illusion, ventri puppet, and balloon twist. If you're on a budget as I was, Sir Wel is the one to look for.

Photobooth: Art and Design by RA

It was a last minute booking. I had to cancel my prior arrangement with the original photobooth supplier because *issues* arose. Good thing, I stumbled upon Art and Design by RA on Facebook. Rangel, the owner, was very accommodating and she gave me discount since they're just coming from the same area where the party will be held. Yay!

Family, relatives, friends, officemates —thank you guys, too! Most of you have traveled from the south, commuted, and conquered the ever-traffic Katipunan Ave. Thank you all for the loooooove~

  1. Ria's second birthday party looks fantabulous. The color scheme and all the décor items are stunning. I have got some amazing inspirations for my daughter’s first birthday from this post. Actually I would be hosting the bash at the garden inspired LA venue so I think I will play with some other color palette for this bash.
