Japan 2025: Fukuoka

Hey, you! How's it going?

November last year, we visited the beautiful country of Japan. Our first stop was Fukuoka. It was just a quick 5-day trip but we loved it, definitely. At one point in our lives, during our childhood, most of us dreamed of visiting Japan someday. It might just be a fantasy in my head, but never would I've imagined that I'd be visiting the country at this time and age. (I thought of and missed Mike during this trip since he always wanted to go, too).

Boracay 2025

Last April, we visited the beautiful island of Boracay. It was my and my family's first time to visit! Glad to have this booked for some family getaway.

The Eras Tour SG 2024

We made it to The Eras Tour!

Had so many attempts of giving up when airfare kept soaring so high and most accommodations were sold out. It was such an exhausting and thrilling pre-Eras Tour prep, and yet we have made it!

Bangkok, Thailand 2023

I'm trying to lay everything here while I'm still in the mood to write! 😄 Last year, my friends and I travelled to Thailand. We visited just last month, December, for four days! It was a short trip and we wanted to do so much more (shopping 😁) but had so little time.

Day 4

Bugis Street + Haji Lane + Kampong Glam

Today was our last day and also my birthday! We started off our day at Bugis. We shopped pasalubongs, bought snacks, and strolled on the first half of our day.

It's our third day in sunny Singapore! But still we couldn't get enough of their food! We skipped breakfast and headed straight to Tiong Bahru to try the local dish in the area.

One of the most anticipated parts of our trip, of course, was USS! We allotted our entire day here because WE HAD TO. You cannot plan anything else when it's Universal Studios day! 😁

Singapore 2022: Arrival + Day 1

Hey, you guys! How are you? It's been a while. 😔 I have left this little space of mine floating for years. It's already been 3 years since I last posted. And it was a sad one. I lost Mike back then, and didn't have the energy to write. I still miss him.

Anyway, today, I felt like writing again, even if no one else actually reads my blog anymore. 😁 So, yeah! I've travelled out of the country a few times (twice to be exact!) the past two years. And I just want to log them here so I can look back at them in the future. Before IG reels, throwback Thursdays, and flashback Fridays became a thing, blogging was my way to express and remember things that turn into memories. ♥

The heartbreak I didn't know

 Mike—

A name I've known the past three years. It was just a name of someone I am used to call my "bebu" back then, but now, every time I hear it, my heart crumbles. A name I didn't know would be the name of a person whom my heart had longed for —for the longest time. A name He gave to a person who I prayed for every night. A name of a person that may sound common to all but actually was someone's name who's made a big impact in my life.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

With all these quarantines, lock downs, and travel bans going on around the world caused by the current pandemic, I couldn't help but reflect back on the travels I had from last year. We all miss going traveling, don't we? But for now, lucky are the ones who get to stay at home. Lucky are we! Salute to all the heroes, front-liners, military, doctors, and nurses, who are risking their lives to battle this current global situation. May God bless the whole world!

San Juan, La Union

To compromise our last-minute booking for our annual summer outing (we went to El Nido last year), my friends and I booked our stay at Urbiztondo in San Juan, La Union because we wanted to try surfing. Initially, we were planning for Siargao, but unfortunately we weren't able to grab the cheapest fares. So anyway, it has to be La Union then. And preying praying on seeing Luke Landrigan, too. Spoiler alert: I didn't see him.

3 Basic Tips on taking the best food shot

Coming from a non-food blogger.

I wouldn't argue that we all love food. Its enticing presentation always craves to be pictured, whether we're food bloggers or not. Since bringing an actual camera with you, on a regular random lunch out, is a bit of a hassle already, we now basically depend on our smartphones —for almost everything. Aside from being handy, most phones are now equipped with high megapixels camera that can beautifully capture, not just your selfies, but your food as well.  And no matter how you're shooting your mouth-watering dish, we all have our own style and a few things we put into consideration. Read on for my 3 friendly tips!

A local favorite: Pork Adobo

Richmonde Hotel, Ortigas

Taking advantage of the long weekend last August 26th-27th, I booked my mom, Joyce, Ria, and myself a one night staycation at Richmonde Hotel through Agoda (one day before our target check-in date). It was supposed to be a family outing with my relatives, unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a private pool that would fit our budget and preferred date.

Hulio: Our shoe venture

Thiz izzz it! We've finally  made it happen!

Hulio is a Philippine local shoe brand made from handcrafted leather. The name "Hulio" was coined from Hulyo, Filipino translation of July. (It was back in July 2016 when my sister and I came up with the idea.) We just stylized the name and changed Y to I. Hence the name, Hulio.

Day 3
Island Tour
April 2, 2017

Woke up a little late today. Breakfast was served at the usual time, 7 AM. We had embutido that tasted like meh, with egg, and rice. We were fetched around 8 AM and headed to the beach. We've been renting snorkeling gears for P100/day. Don't worry, they didn't look gross, they seemed clean (and hopefully sterilized). Don't just overthink that these gears had been used by random people in the past. I didn't catch anything after using them, anyway. Though, it's always better to bring your own gears like my friends did.

El Nido, Palawan: Day 1 & 2

Though I wasn't able to attend Coldplay's #AHFODTour last April 4 (sob), I still made sure to experience para-para-paradise in, none other than, Palawan. We booked this trip from one year ago, and now, we're here!

Hey there, mister!

Ria's 2nd birthday party

Party never ends... for mommies! It doesn't feel like a year has already passed since Ria's first birthday party. I remember when I couldn't calm down because I had to check every single detail of her party even if Stacy's asked me not to worry anymore. I DIY-ed the things I wasn't supposed to, just because I felt like I have to. Can you feel me, mommies? We couldn't calm down, could we?

Kidzoona, SM City Masinag

We were all first timers when we visited Kidzoona at SM City Masinag last January 2. We've been planning to go there since forever and this time, it finally pushed through.

Travel size Hair Straightener

When I was having my nails retouched at a nearby salon with my mom and Ria a month ago, there was this itchy feeling that I needed a haircut. I asked Jo, the senior stylist, to layer my hair. I got so bored looking at myself with the usual medium bob cut, so why not. I walked out from the salon feeling all ~*pretty*~ and satisfied.

Reality: My everyday still-wet ugly hair.

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Bagac, Bataan

Since we usually just stay home on Christmas Day to avoid traffic and crowded places, we decided to go on a 4-hour drive to Bagac, Bataan the next day, December 26. It was a special non-working holiday Monday, so why not.
